Our special tracks

Within the AHEAD program we have seen that the same contents don't fit with every team. This is why we see as quite important to create clustered topics, that are similar with eachother. Impactful projects are cruicial for our near future. Knowing this, we created two tailored programs, that focus on the needs of start-ups with a big impact. These track do not subtitute, but rather enrich the main AHEAD program.

  • The SDG Track is for any spin-off or licensing projects at Fraunhofer that seek to solve global social or environmental challenges in an entrepreneurial way according to the SDGs. The Sustainable Development Goals of the UN are presumably the most relevant To-Do-list of the world: They will serve until 2030 as a north star for securing a sustainable development worldwide.
  • The Life Science Track, a special subprogram for tech transfer projects in the fields of medtech (hardware) and drug development. This is inarguably one of the most discussed topics and certainly a field of research which requires special attention.

SDG Track

  • 3x per year, with each batch
  • our contribution to probably the most relevant to-do list in the world –
the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN
  • additional support in phase 1 of AHEAD, other content including
    in-depth Social Entrepreneurship Mentoring

Life Science Track

  • 1x each year, with the September Batch
  • in cooperation with Life Science Factory Göttingen & Helmholtz
  • Coaching Sessions und Workshop Formats especially for questions and development potentials of life science teams
  • peer2peer exchange with Life Science Teams from other organisations

Further information

For further details, please see attached documents, or have a look at the timelines below.

SDG Track

Here you have an overview of the timeline during the SDG track. The first touchpoint will be the Bootcamp, followed by a jury session, which will evaluate your sustainability, according to the SDGs. After getting accepted for Phase 1 and SDG track, you will have check-ins in Munich or online every 3 weeks. In addition to regular program contents you will enjoy access to special workshops, coaching sessions, networking opportunities and more.

Life Science Track

Here you have an overview of the timeline during the Life Science track. Teams who apply for the Life Science track, will attend the Bootcamp and sprint, which take place together with all the other AHEAD teams. After that, there will be 3 check-ins, that are specifically thought-out for your needs. We run this track together with Helmholtz and Life Science Factory Göttingen, which means that the check-ins will also take place there.
